It is not clear when Anna came west. One Anna Þórarinsdóttir is listed in Vesturfaraskrá as 25 years old going to New York in 1887. The census website of the National Archives of Iceland in 1890 says that Páll Eggerz then lived at Kirkjustræti 6 in Reykjavík with his wife, Anna Þórarinsdóttir, 29 years old. There are four children registered! It may well be that the Anna who came west in 1887 is the same as the one registered at home in Kirkjustræti 6 in 1890 and that she then returned to Iceland with Páll to pick up his children. It is not mentioned, however, in Landsyfirrétardómar 5. árgangri 1901, where Páll and his claims are discussed. Dalamenn lll p. 427 says that Anna died after a short life with Páll.
