Árni Vigfússon: Born in Borgarfjarðarsýsla in 1866. He died in 1945.
Spouse: 1) Ingibjörg Elisabet Guðmundsdóttir b. 1866 in the same sýsla, d. April 19, 1919 2) July 19, 1920 Margrét Elísabet Baldvinsdóttir b. in N. Þingeyjarsýsla in 1879, d. 1954.
Children: 1. Guðmundur Sveinn b. April 5, 1892; d. May 9, 1917 2. Hólmfríður (Freda) 3. Vigfús Árni (Addi) b. December 25, 1896
Árni and Ingibjörg emigrated west in 1893 and immediately settled in the Geysir Settlement, naming their farm Hjarðarholt.
Margrét emigrated west to Winnipeg in 1902. She married Arngrímur J. Arngrímsson and moved with him to Minneota, Minnesota. He died there in 1911. Margrét moved to Winnipeg with her daughter Elín Kristín. Their son, Marvin Arngrímur, stayed in Minneota.
