Beatrice Aurora Þorsteinsdóttir was born in N. Dakota in 1910. She died in the Lakes Settlement (Vatnabyggð) in Saskatchewan in 1976. She took the name Beatrice A. Thorsteinsson in the west.

Beatrice was the daughter of Þorsteinn Þorláksson and Hlaðgerður Grímsdóttir Laxdal, pioneer settlers in N. Dakota. Einar was the son of Þorsteinn Þorsteinsson and Anna Ingibjörg Jónsdóttir who settled in the Þingvalla Settlement in N. Dakota in 1892. Einar and Beatrice settled near Leslie in the Lakes Settlement (Vatnabyggð) and lived there the rest of their lives.
