They settled in the Garðar Settlement in N. Dakota. Valdimar was the son of Daníel Grímsson and Sigríður Þorsteinsdóttir, early settlers in the Garðar settlement in 1885 and in the Lakes settlement (Vatnabyggð) in Saskatchewan in 1906. Björg and Valdimar later lived in Blaine, Washington.
