Björn Sigurðsson was born in Suður-Múlasýsla in 1869. Died in Oak Point in Lundar Settlement in 1944.

The following are her chldren from a previous marriage: 1. Jón f. 1878 2. Ingveldur f. 1880 3. Margrét f. 1881 4. Sigurður f. 1885, died within 24 hrs. A young Eiríkur Þorsteinsson traveled with her, she was is stepmother.
Björn and Jóhanna lived in Icelandic River Settlement until just after the turn of the century when floods in Lake Winnipeg forced them off their land. They moved to Shoal Lake Settlement where they lived until 1926. They stopped farming and moved to Oak Point.
