Einar Bjarnason was born Árnessýsla in 1826. He died on Washington Island, Wisconsin on December 3, 1895. He took the name Barneson in the west.
Spouse: Helga Sigurðardóttir b. 1832 in Snæfellsnessýsla.

Einar emigrated west to Wisconsin in the United States in 1871 with his children Kristín Sigríður and Ágúst and settled on Washington Island. Helga emigrated with the other ten children two years later. They left the island and moved to Milwaukee in 1873 but moved back to the island in 1882.
