Eiríka Gunnarsdóttir was born in Skagafjarðarsýsla on January 5, 1883. She died on February 8, 1963 in the Árdals Settlement. She was registered as Eirikka (Rikka) in the west.
Spouse: 1) 1913 Benjamín Benjamínsson b. 1886 in Hnappadalssýsla, d. Árdals Settlement in 1916. 2) 1920 Geirfinnur Magnússon b. February 2, 1885, d. September 2, 1956. He took the name Geiri Johnson in Manitoba.

Eiríka came west to Canada in 1900 with her parents, Gunnar Guðmundsson and Veronika Eiríksdóttir, and siblings. Eiríka remained in Winnipeg when her parents settled in the Árdals Settlement, near Arborg. She was a housekeeper in the city, then worked in the laundry at Winnipeg General Hospital. She then settled in the Árdals Settlement and lived there the rest of her life.
