Eiríkur Jónsson: Born in N. Múlasýsla in 1850. He died on May 30, 1937.  He was known as Johnson in the west.

Spouse: 1875 Vilborg Stefánsdóttir born November 27, 1849. Died December 31, 1930

Children: 1) Bergljót b. November 4, 1878  2) Eiríka b. 1878; d.1895 3) Sigurður b. September 30, 1880; d. 1939 4) Jón b. September 26, 1881 5) Edvarð b. April 26, 1886 6)  Kristín Margrét b. March 16, 1884 7) Þorbjörg b. July 23, 1888 8) Stefán b. 1889; d. 1904.

Vilborg had a son, Guðni Hannesson. They raised also raised a boy, Friðrik Jónasson, better known as Friðrik Fljózdal in the west, b. 1868.

They came west in 1878 and settled in Minneota, Minnesota. They lived there for 16 years before moving to Akra, N. Dakota in 1894.  In 1901, they moved to New Iceland and took land in the Framnes Settlement. Eiríkur was a carpenter and excellent craftsman; Vilborg was a midwife.
