They came west to Kinmount, Ontario in 1874 and moved from there to New Iceland in the autumn of 1875. Their path then led them to Hallson, N. Dakota where they lived until 1905 when they took land in the Lakes Settlement (Vatnabyggð) in Saskatchewan, close to Wynyard. They moved off their land in 1911 and lived well in Wynyard.
