Children: With Sesselja: 1. Jónas b. April 12, 1906, d. October 17, 1937 2. Egilsína Guðlaug b. September 26, 1908, d. November 9, 1934. She was the mother of Marjorie who married Ted Arnason, mayor of Gimli 3. Elínborg Guðrún b. November 5, 1910 4. Páll Lindberg b. May 9, 1913 5. Jónína Sigríður b. Septemter 8, 1915, d. May 23, 1940 6. Jóhann Kristinn died as a child on October 8, 1909. Ólína Steinsdóttir b. August 12, 1904 in the Icelandic River Settlement and was the daughter of Sesselja and Steinar Runólfssonur. She was adopted by Jón Pálsson and his wife Kristína in New Iceland.

Eyvindur came west in 1881, and lived in Mikley before moving in 1907 to land in the Víðir-Sandy Hills Settlement. They lived there 5 years before moving to Winnipeg where they lived for 2 years. They moved once more in 1914, north to Riverton.
