Friðrik Frank Eyjólfsson was born on September 24, 1900 in the Fljóts settlement in New Iceland. He died on February 20, 1950.
Spouse: July 28, 1927 Arnheiður Guttormsdóttir b. December 22, 1904 in Otto in the Shoal Lake settlement (Grunnavatnsbyggð) in Manitoba, d. Winnipeg on March 15, 1962. She took the last name Eyjólfsson with marriage.

Friðrik was the son of Þorsteinn Eyjólfsson and Lilja Hallsdóttir at Hóla in the Fljóts settlement. Arnheiður was the daugther of Guttormur J Guttormsson, poet, and Jensína Júlía Daníelsdóttir. At a young age, Friðrik started helping his father with the farming at Hóla, later working as an engineer on fishing boats on Lake Winnipeg.
