Friðrikka Bóthildur Sigurgeirsdóttir was born in Mountain, N. Dakota on December 26, 1884. She died in Seattle, Washington on November 14, 1942.

Friðrikka was the daughter of Sigurgeir Björnsson and Guðfinna Jóhannesdóttir who came west to New Iceland in Manitoba in 1876 and bought land in N. Dakota in 1880. Kristinn was the son of Kristinn Ólafsson and Katrín Ólafsdóttir who came west to Wisconsin in 1873. Kristinn grew up in N. Dakota, got higher education and became a pastor.
