Gróa emigrated west in 1887 and settled in Morden. Arthur bought land in the Víðir-Sandy Hills Settlement and ran the post office on his land that he called Sylvan. That general area was called Sylvan, but it can be said that it and the Sandy Hills Settlement were the same settlement.
