Guðfinna Árnadóttir was born in N. Múlasýsla in 1880. She died on July 19, 1969 in Minnesota. She took the name Magnea (Maggie) Gudfinna Magnuson in the west.
Spouse: Þorvaldur Guðmundsson b. in Vopnafjörður in N. Múlasýsla on May 18, 1868, d. November 15, 1832 in Minnesota. (He took the name Thor or Thomas Gudmundsson in the west).

Þorvaldur came west in 1880 at age 11 with Eyjólfur Björnsson and his family. They first lived in Nova Scotia, but soon moved west to the Lincoln County Settlement in Minnesota. Guðfinna came west with her parents, Árni Magnússon and Sigurbjörg Árnadóttir, in 1889.
