Guðjón Jóhannsson was born in Skagafjarðarsýsla on April 8, 1851. He took the name Isfeld in the west.
Spouse: Sigríður Sigurðardóttir b. in Skagafjarðarsýsla on May 10, 1850, d. August 28, 1945 at Hólmfríður’s home in Woodroyd, Manitoba.
Children: 1. Trausti b. June 23, 1881 2. Gísli b. June 1, 1884 3. Ástvaldur b. November 7, 1887 4. Sigurður b. July 10, 1890 5. Hólmfríður b. April 20, 1893 6. Árni b. August 15, 1894.
Sigríður came west to Winnipeg, Manitoba with the children and settled in Lundi (later Riverton) in 1900. Guðjón emigrated there from Iceland in 1893 and the family moved south to the Icelandic settlements in N. Dakota. They moved from there in 1913. Sigríður went north to the Fljóts Settlement and her sons, Trausti, Ástvaldur and Sigurður settled in the Ísafold Settlement. Guðjón and Gísli, however, went west to the Vatn Settlement in Saskatchewan where they settled near Mozart. Sigríður arrived there in 1918; Guðjón died there a few years later.
