Guðmundur Magnússon: Born in Mýrasýsla on May 27, 1870. He took the name Borgfjörð in the west.

Two children, Hólmfríður b. 1895 and Marínó b. 1902 died young.
Guðmundur came west in 1888 followed by Þórunn in 1891. Guðmundur went with his brothers, Jón and Þorsteinn and began to farm. Þorsteinn’s farm is in the Geysir Settlement. Guðmundur and Jón are considered the first settlers in the Framnes – Árdals Settlement.
