Guðmundur Magnússon: He was born in 1862 in Húnavatnssýsla. He died on August 11, 1942. He was called Gudmundur Brandon in the west.
Spouse: 1893 Salóme Ólína Jóhannsdóttir b. 1869 in S. Þingeyjarsýsla . Died in 1912.

Guðmundur came west in 1888 and lived in Brandon, Manitoba for five years.
There he met and married Salóme who had emigrated to New Iceland in 1893. They moved to the Ísafold Settlement in 1894. They moved again in 1901 and took land in the Framnes Settlement. Sigríður Árnadóttir became Guðmundur’s housekeeper after Salóme fell ill. They had a daughter, Margaret Guðrún, b. February 19, 1911.
