Guðný Antoníusdóttir was born in 1858 in S. Múlasýsla. She died in Manitoba on Januar 2, 1925.
Spouse: January 14, 1886 Jóhann Baldvin Benediktsson b. 1850 in N. Múlasýsla, d. in Winnipeg on November 28, 1919. He took the name Baldvin Benediktson in the west.
Children: 1. Þorvaldur 2. Benedikt 3. Baldvin 4. Halldór 5. Karl 6. Jón. The children, all born in the west, took the last name Baldwin.
Guðný came west to Manitoba in 1879. Jóhann Baldvin came west to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1876 and settled in the Víðirnes settlement in New Iceland. He called his land Baldurshagi. He moved from there to Winnipeg in 1881 and then took land in the Argyle settlement in 1883. He lived there until old age took its toll. He then moved to Glenboro and from there to Winnipeg where he died.
