Guðrún Guðjónsdóttir was born in N. Múlasýsla on February 14, 1900. She took the last name Hallson with marriage.
Spouse: March 17, 1922 Gísli Eiríksson b. in N. Múlasýsla on August 8, 1884, d. in Vogar, Manitoba on April 21, 1948. He took the last name Hallson in the west.

Gísli came to the West at 18 years of age in 1903. He traveled to Manitoba and worked as a farmer in Vogar. Guðrún came west to Manitoba with her parents, Guðjón Pétur Vigfússon and Anna Jónína Hjálmarsdóttir in 1912. They settled on the north side of Lake Manitoba. Guðrún taught for many years in the Siglunes settlement and lived in Vogar.
