Guðrún Guðmundsdóttir was born in Reykjavík on June 5, 1889. She died in 1974. She took the last name Arnason in the west.
Spouse: June 22, 1908 Skúli Sigfússon b. October 1, 1870 in S. Múlasýsla. He died in the Lundar Settlement in 1969.

Skúli came west to Winnipeg, Manitoba with his parents and sister in 1887. His brother Jón met them in the city and took them to his farm in the Lundar Settlement. Skúli lived in the community the rest of his life. Guðrún was the daughter of Guðmundur Bjarnason from Efstadal in Laugardal and Margrét Jónsdóttir from Húnavatnssýsla. Margrét later married Arnar Árnason who came west in 1887 and lived in Chicago. Guðrún adopted his last name in the west before her marriage. Skúli worked at a variety of jobs in the first years in the Lundar Settlement, most with his brother Jón. He took land in 1896 southwest of Lundar with his mother.
