Guðrún Guðlaug Jóhannesdóttir was born on June 13, 1866 in Skagafjarðarsýsla. She died on November 25, 1928 in the Mouse River Settlement.
Spouse: 1896 Rögnvaldur Gísli Pétursson b. October 23, 1873 in Skagafjarðarsýsla, d. at the Borg Nursing Home in Mountain, N. Dakota on November 16, 1961. He took the last name Hillman in the west.

Guðrún Guðlaug was the daughter of Jóhannes Magnússon and Steinunn Jónsdóttir and moved west with them in 1888. Rögnvaldur moved west to Ontario in 1874 with his parents, Pétur Jónsson and Ólöf Kjartansdóttir. They moved east to Markland, Nova Scotia and lived there until 1881. They moved to the Akra Settlement in N. Dakota where Rögnvaldur grew up. He and Guðrún met and married there. They moved to the Mouse River community in 1898.
