Guðrún Pálsdóttir was born on February 21, 1866 in Húnavatnssýsla. She died on October 19, 1950 in Lyon County in Minnesota.*
Spouse: Kjartan Friðrik Eðvarðsson b. in S. Múlasýsla on June 25, 1870, d. in Yellow Medicine County in Minnesota on September 4, 1967. He took the name Charles Edward in the west.

Kjartan came west in 1878 to Minnesota with his parents, Eðvarð Þorleifsson and Sesselja Jónsdóttir. They settled in Yellow Medecine County. Kjartan and Guðrún lived there as well.
* A source in Minnesota says Kjartan’s wife was Gudrun Paulson who was living in Duluth. No other information is included but a source wonders if this is Guðrún who came west across the ocean from Tjörn in Þverárhreppur in Húnavatnssýsla to Canada in 1887. She was then 22 years old which almost corresponds to Guðrún Paulson’s year of birth. It is also asked if she could have been the sister of Solveig and Jórunn Pálsdóttir who came west the same year with their father, Páll Snæbjarnarson to Canada from Böðvarshólar in Þverárhreppur.
