Gunnfríður Marsibil Skúladóttir was born in Calder, Saskatchewan on March 14, 1891. She died in the Lakes settlement (Vatnabyggð) in August 1964.
Spouse: March 29, 1911 Lárus Jónsson b. in Pembina, N. Dakota on February 23, 1884, d. August 7, 1958. He was known as Laurie Johnson in the west.

Gunnfríður’s parents, Skúli Árni Stefánsson and Sigurlaug Gunnarsdóttir, came west to Winnipeg in 1877. They later moved south to N. Dakota and took land in the Akra settlement. Lárus was the son of Jón Guðmundsson and Elísabet Jónsdóttir, who settled in Pembina in 1885. Gunnfríður and Lárus lived near Mozart in Vatnabyggð in Saskatchewan where Lárus was a farmer and also a grain merchant with the National Grain Co.
