They first lived in New Iceland, then six years in Winnipeg, and from there to the Narrows on Lake Manitoba. Ingibjörg was the daughter of Árni Sveinsson and Guðrún H. Jónsdóttir from Fáskrúðsfjörður who came west in 1876.
