Halldóra Guðmundsdóttir was born on August 5, 1854 in Snæfellsnessýsla. She died on October 28, 1921 in Duluth, Minnesota.
Spouse: Siggeir Ólafsson b. December 27, 1850 in Staðarsveit in Snæfellsnessýsla, d. in Duluth on December 20, 1915. He took the last name Olson in the west.

They came west to Winnipeg in 1886 and lived there three years. They moved to Wisconsin and lived a short time on Washington Island before moving to Duluth, Minnesota. There, they lived on the ground floor of a two-story house where Halldóra worked as a midwife and had her own practice for many years. See Atvinna below.
