Haraldur Stefánsson was born in the Shoal Lake Settlement (Grunnavatnsbyggð) in Manitoba on July 1, 1905. He had the name Haraldur Danielson in the west.
Spouse: May 18, 1929 Alfífa Kamilla Sigfúsdóttir b. November 16, 1904 in Gullbringusýsla. She had the name Alfiva Danielson with marriage.
Children: 1. Leonard Sigfús b. 1930 2. Raymond Stefán b. in Lundar on January 5, 1932.
Haraldur was the son of Stefán Daníelsson and Daníela Kristjana Daníelsdóttir. Alfífa was the daughter of Sigfús Tómasson who d. in Reykjavík in 1911 and Halldóra Böðvarsdóttir. Halldóra, a widow, came west with her daughter in 1913. Haraldur repaired cars and ran his own auto repair shop in Lundar for 35 years.
