Konkordía’s fiance, Ólafur Guðmundsson, came west across the ocean in 1876, went to Manitoba and later to N. Dakota. He returned home to Iceland in 1882 and married Konkordía, and Helgi and Hólmfríður came west with them. They went to Grafton, N. Dakota. Ólafur and Konkordía went west to Calgary in 1886 and later settled in the Alberta colony. It is unclear what happened to Helgi and Hólmfríður.
