Ingibjörg Freysteinsdóttir was born on June 26, 1879 in Gullbringusýsla. She died on July 3, 1963 in Pine Falls, Manitoba.
Spouse: 1890 Jónas Þorvarðsson b. in Dalasýsla on December 8, 1866, d. in Winnipeg on January 27, 1957. He took the name J. Thorvardson in the west.
Children: 1. Kristín 2. Þorbjörg (Bertha).
Ingibjörg came west to Winnipeg in 1886 with her parents, Freysteinn Jónsson and Kristín Eyjólfsdóttir. They settled in the Þingvalla Settlement. Jónas came west to Winnipeg in 1887, together with his brother Bergþór. Jónas worked in Winnipeg for a while but moved south to Cavalier, N. Dakota, newly married, where they lived for two years. They moved from there to the Þingvalla Settlement in Saskatchewan where they lived until 1907. Then they went back to Winnipeg and lived there after that and where Jónas ran a grocery store for many years.
