Ingjaldur Árnason: He was born in S. Þingeyjarsýsla on Jan. 20, 1871. He died on Mar. 31, 1949.
Spouse: María Guðrún Oddsdóttir b. in Kelduhverfi in S. Þingeyjarsýsla on July 1, 1869. She died on Jan. 24, 1949 in Marshall, MN. She was a poet, and her verses were published in several Icelandic-American periodicals.
Children: 1. Kristján b. Sep. 2, 1891 in Selkirk, Manitoba 2. Clark Emil b. Oct. 10, 1895 in Selkirk. Máría had an earlier child, Óli Ólason, b. 1888 or b. Dec. 26, 1886; d. Nov. 9, 1918 in WW I. He took the name Olafur (Oli) Arnason in the west.
They emigrated west to Manitoba, Canada in 1891. They lived in Selkirk but then travelled south to the Lincoln County Settlement in Minnesota a few years later. By 1920, they farmed in Swede Prairie Township, Yellow Medicine Co. At that time, Jon Benjaminsson, age 80 years lived with them.
