Ingunn Elín Gunnlaugsdóttir was born in Húnavatnssýsla on January 23, 1880. She died in the Lakes Settlement (Vatnabyggð) on December 3, 1956.
Spouse: Magnús Oddson b. December 18, 1877 in Dalasýsla, d. in Saskatchewan on November 20, 1959.
Children: 1. Margrét b. October 12, 1899 2. Oddur b. April 2, 1903 3. Gunnlaugur 4. Sigurlaug.
Ingunn came west to N. Dakota in 1883 with her parents, Gunnlaugur Sakkeusson and Sigurlaug Sigurðardóttir. Her father died shortly after coming west and Ingunn was taken in as a foster child by Bjarni Illugason and his wife. Magnús came west to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1886 with his parents and siblings. He grew up with them in the Hallson Settlement in N. Dakota and moved with them to the Lakes Settlement (Vatnabyggð) in Saskatchewan in 1905. He took land in the northern part of the Wynyard community and lived there. In 1936, they moved to Washington state and settled a short distance north of Blaine.
