He came west in 1887 and spent the first year in the Argyle Settlement. He bought land in the Hóla Settlement and moved there in 1902. He sold his land in 1910 and moved to Glenboro. From there he moved to Selkirk, lived there awhile, but then moved back to Glenboro.
