Jón Jónsson: Born at Setberg in Hornafirði in E. Skaftafellssveit on May 30, 1864. Died April 1, 1928. Took the name Hornfjörð in the west.
Spouse: 1891 Guðleif Árnadóttir born October 24, 1865 at Mjóafirði in N. Múlasýsla. Died March 14, 1951.
Children: 1) Bergþór b. 1892. Died 1894. 2) Bergþóra (Begga Pell) b. May 16, 1894. Died March 3, 1940 3) Kristrún (Rúna) Guðmundína b. April 3, 1896. Died August 15, 1927 4) Helgi b. July 3, 1897 5) Sesselja b. February 12, 1900 6) Þorsteinn b. September 9, 1907. Died August 14, 1924. They also raised a foster son Emil Sigurðsson b. September 2, 1892.
They came west in 1890 and settled in the Ísafold Settlement, living there for 10 years.
They moved to the Framnes Settlement in 1901 and lived there 20 years. They moved to Leslie, Saskatchewan in 1922.
