Jónína Solveig Brynjólfsdóttir was born in Mýrasýsla on August 18, 1858. She died at Point Roberts, Washington on May 18, 1926.

Ámundi and Jónína came west to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1887 and went on to New Iceland where they lived in Mikley. Sigurður came west in 1876 with his first wife who died in 1912. They were in Manitoba and N. Dakota before moving west to Victoria, British Columbia in 1887 and lived there a while before moving in 1894 to Point Robers peninsula in Washington. They were there a number of years, but then returned to Victoria. Sigurður moved in 1914 to Point Roberts and lived there the rest of his life. Jónína probably knew people on the Pacific Ocean and went there sometime after Ámundi died.
