Jórunn Jónsdóttir was born in N. Múlasýsla in 1881. She died in the Lakes Settlement (Vatnabyggð) in Saskatchewan in December, 1926.

Spouse: December 22, 1901 Þorviður Magnússon b. in S. Þingeyjarsýsla on May 7, 1878, d. 1959 at Höfn Retirement Home in Vancouver, British Columbia. He took the name Viddi Halldorson in the west.

Children: 1. Haraldur d. at a few years 2. Elswood 3. Alfa (Alpha).

Þorviður came west with his parents and siblings in 1881 and grew up in the Hallson Settlement in N. Dakota. Jórunn came west in 1887 with her father and stepmother, Jón Valdimar Jónsson and Elísabet Hallgrímsdóttir. Þorviður and Jórunn moved to Furudalsbyggð (Pine Valley), Manitoba in 1903 and were there a number of years. They moved to Winnipeg, but in 1908 Þorviður took land in the Lakes Settlement (Vatnabyggð) in Saskatchewan and moved there in 1909. They later bought land owned by Elísabet, Jórunn’s stepmother.
