Kristín Örnólfsdóttir was born in Önundarfjörður in Ísafjarðarsýsla on June 24, 1859. She died in New Iceland on May 11, 1920.
Spouse: 1886 Daníel Eggertsson, drowned in 1888. She became a housekeeper for Ólafur Ólafsson in 1891. He died in Mikley at the age of 73.

Kristín came west to Winnipeg, Manitoba with Ólafur Ólafsson in 1893. They settled in Mikley where Ólafur took land and named it Öldubæ. They lived there six years, but flooding in Lake Winnipeg forced them to leave their land. Kristín took land which she called Skógarnes and lived there the rest of her life.
