Guðrún Kristín Tómasdóttir was born in Skagafjarðarsýsla on January 11, 1877. She died in Manitoba on July 1, 1969.
Spouse: 1911 Guðni Júlíus Eyjólfsson b. in New Iceland in Manitoba in 1882. He had the name G. J. Oleson in the west.

Guðrún came west in 1887 and went on to N. Dakota where the couple Loftur Guðnason and Elinborg Jónsdóttir had settled in 1883. She moved north with them to the Hóla Settlement in Manitoba in 1898 and from there she moved to Glenboro. Guðni Júlíus was the son of Eyjólfur Jónsson and his second wife, Sigurveig Sigurðardóttir. He grew up in New Iceland, but moved with his parents to the Hóla Settlement where he farmed for a number of years before moving to Glenboro.
