Kristján Rósmann Steingrímsson was born in Dalasýsla on February 26, 1858. He died in Blaine on December 16, 1832. Kristjan R. Casper in the west.
Spouse: 1) Kristbjörg Jónasdóttir b. in Dalasýsla 1859, d. in N. Dakota December 13, 1894. 2) April 7, 1904 Rósa Magnúsdóttir b. in Dalasýsla on October 15, 1882, d. in Blaine on January 11, 1944.
Children: With Kristbjörg: 1. Kristín d. 1910. With Rósa: 1. Steingrímur 2. Joseph 3. Steinunn Lilja 4. Magnús 5. Kristján Rósmann 6. Lárus Frímann (Lawrence).
Kristján emigrated west to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1882 and was there two years. He moved to the Hallson Settlement in N. Dakota and lived there until 1892. He then moved north to the Lundar Settlement in Manitoba and homesteaded north of Lundar. He returned to N. Dakota, lived there about a year, then moved to Roseau, Minnesota and lived there seven years. In 1902, he moved to the Pacific and lived in Blaine until his dying days.
