Líneik, daughter of Benjamín Einarsson and Guðleif Stefánsdóttir, grew up in the Shoal Lake (Grunnavatn) Settlement, but moved from there with her mother in 1904 to the Vallar Settlement in Saskatchewan. She later moved to the Lakes Settlement (Vatnabyggð) and lived a long time in Mozart.
