Margrét Elíasdóttir was born in 1875 in Hnappadalssýsla. She died in Blaine, Washington on October 12, 1838.
Spouse: Ágúst Gísli Grímsson b. August 11, 1869 in Snæfellsnessýsla. He took the last name Breiðfjörð in the west.

Margrét came west to Canada in 1881 with her father, Elías Jónsson Kærnested, and his wife, Ólöf Þorsteinsdóttir. They first settled in Muskoga, Ontario but moved west to New Iceland in 1883. Ágúst came west to Manitoba in 1894 with his parents, Grímur Jóhannesson and Júlíanna R. Benediktsdóttir. They settled in the Ísafold Settlement in New Iceland and later in the Grunnavatns Settlement. Ágúst lived there until 1916 then moved west with his wife to the Pacific coast where Ágúst bought land a short distance from Blaine. They lived there until 1925 and traded their land for a house in Blaine where they lived ever after.
