Margrét Guðmundsdóttir was born on February 9, 1859 in Dalasýsla. She died on August 19, 1916 in Duluth, Minnesota.
Spouse: Kristján Gunnarsson b. in Borgarfjarðarsýsla on July 17, 1858, d. in Minnesota on May 18, 1949. He took the name Chris Gunderson in the west.

They came to start their home in the West in 1887 and settled in Duluth, Minnesota in 1891. There Kristján had a dairy farm and was registered as living at 6403 Wadena St. in the 1895 Census. In the 1910 Census, he is registered as a merchant and in 1930 he lived with his son Björn in Hermantown, now a suburb of Duluth.
