Margrét Jónsdóttir was born in S. Múlasýsla on October 1, 1861. She died in Minnesota on January 29, 1937.
Spouse: Guðjón Þorsteinsson b. in N. Þingeyjarsýsla on April 1, 1852, d. in Minneota, Minnesota on February 10, 1928. He took the name John Stone in the west.

Margrét came west to Minnesota with her parents, Jón Kristjánsson and Guðríður Jónsdóttir, in 1877 while Guðjón arrived there in 1880. Margrét and Guðjón are registered as living in Swede Prarie in Yellow Medicine County in the Minnesota in 1885 Census and Margrét’s parents are also registered there. Later, Margrét and Guðjón moved to Minneota.
