Margrét Jónsdóttir was born in Húnavatnssýsla on September 12, 1861. She died June 24, 1938 in Oak Point, Manitoba.

Spouse: 1) Guðmundur Bjarnason 2) February 15, 1890 in Manitoba, Arnór Árnason b. in Ísafjarðarsýsla on September 23, 1868, d. January 16, 1939.

Children: With Guðmundur: 1. Kristín 2. Guðrún. With Arnór: 1. Árni b. August 16, 1891, died after a number of months 2. Helga b. February 6, 1895 in Chicago.

Margrét was the daughter of Jón Brandsson, carpenter in Húnavatnssýsla, and his wife Guðrún Jónsdóttir. Arnór was the son of Árni Böðvarsson, archdeacon, and his wife Helga Arnórsdóttir at Ísafjörður. Arnór came west to Manitoba in 1887 while Margrét arrived a year later and she settled in Brandon. They moved to Duluth in 1890 and lived there two years, then moved to Chicago. In 1910, they moved to Winnipeg where they lived for a few years.  They ended up in Oak Point.
