They came west across the sea to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1883 and moved south to the Víkur Settlement in N. Dakota where they lived for half a year. They then moved on to the Hallson Settlement. At the turn of the century, life’s road took them to the Vatnabyggð (Lakes Settlement) in Saskatchewan and they lived with their daughter Anna who lived in Leslie.
