Ólafur Ólafsson : Born in Húnavatnssýsla on October 26, 1853. He was known as Johnson in the west.

Spouse: 1896 Ragnheiður Bjarnadóttir b. 1871.  Died October 26, 1937.

Children: 1) Sigurlaug Soffía (Sella) b. June 20, 1897 2) Hólmfríður b. January 6, 1899 3) Guðrún b. 1900 4) Kjartan Sveinn b. June 25, 1902 5) Bjarni b. May 31, 1903 6) Óli Ragnar b. January 31, 1906 7) Magnea Sigurey b. May 9, 1907

They came west in 1900 and first settled in Pembina, N. Dakota.  They soon moved to New Iceland and settled in the Framnes and Ardals Settlement. Olaf died there after a few years. Ragnheiður sold most of their land to the railway company C.P.R. which made it easier to raise her large family.
