Helga Jóhannesdóttir and Kristjana Photo TSPLD
Páll Ásmundsson was born in 1872 in N. Þingeyjarsýsla. He died in Manitoba on Aug. 30, 1907. He took the name Asmundson in the west.
Spouse: Helga Jóhannesdóttir b. 1872. She had a daughter with her first husband, Johanna (Annie) Gestsdottir, b. 1891, who came with them from Iceland.

They emigrated west to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1902 and travelled on to Big Point. They moved to Minnesota and lived on a farm near Marshall in Lyon County. They moved back to Manitoba in 1904. After Pál’s death, Helga and the children moved, in 1910, to Westbourne, Portage la Prairie, Manitoba.
