Páll Eggerz was born in Stykkishólmur in Snæfellsnessýsla on December 19, 1855. He died in Chicago on May 18, 1891.
Spouse: 1) Ragnheiður Sigríður Sigurðardóttir b. 1853 in Gullbringusýsla, d. June 30, 1887 2) Anna Katrína Þórarinsdóttir b. 1862 in Árnessýsla, d. in Tradeston neighborhood of Glasgow, Scotland in November, 1890.*

Páll was a trader in Iceland and came west with those skills, a widower and childless, to New York in 1887. His father Pétur Eggerz took in Helga, Hrefna, and Sigurður Helga, but in 1890, Páll returned to Iceland and brought his three children with him to Chicago. (see Landsyfirréttardómar, 1901 Volume 5, page 3) Information on the children in the west is missing.
