Páll Þórarinsson was born in E. Skaftafellssýsla on December 11, 1884.
Unmarried and childless.
He was the son of Þórarinn Stefánsson and Steinunn Jónsdóttir, early settlers in the Framnes settlement in New Iceland in 1893. There he first helped his father with farming and then became a farmer himself in that settlement. He joined the Canadian Army in 1918 and served for one year. Along with farming. Páll fished every winter on Lake Winnipeg. He took part in the social affairs of his countrymen, was on the board of the Lutheran church in Árborg for a long time and sang in the church choir.
