Rannveig Gísladóttir was born in Hallson, N. Dakota on January 9, 1888.

Spouse: December 10, 1909 Guttormur Guttormsson b. in Vopnafjörður in N. Múlasýsla on December 10, 1880. He died in Spokane, Washington on July 25, 1956.

Rannveig was the daughter of Gísli Egilsson and Ragnheiður Halldóra Jóhannsdóttir who took land in Hallson, N. Dakota and in the Lögberg Settlement in Saskatchewan.  Guttormur came west with his parents and siblings to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1893. He was ordained as a pastor in Winnipeg on June 27, 1909. He served Icelandic congregations along the Pacific coast 1911 – 1912, and in Churchbridge, Saskatchewan 1912-1918. He served the congregation at St. Paul’s in Minneota, Minnesota from 1918 to 1956.
