Salóme Friðbjarnardóttir was born in Eyjafjarðarsýsla on February 28, 1893.
Spouse: November 11, 1920 Vigfús Stefánsson b. in N. Þingeyjarsýsla on October 3, 1893. He had the last name Baldvinsson in the west.

Salóme came west to Winnipeg in 1910 where she worked until 1920. That year she moved with her husband to Regina, Saskatchewan. In 1932 they moved to Wynyard and then to Winnipeg in 1945. They last settled in Vancouver. Salóme was interested in the social affairs of her country, was in the Jón Sigurðsson society in Winnipeg and later the women’s society Framsørk in Wynyard. Vigfús was a baker.
