Sigríður Halldórsdóttir was born on April 25, 1864 in Eyjafjarðarsýsla. She died on May 13, 1934 in Duluth.

They came west to Winnipeg in 1887 and lived there until 1891. That year, they moved south to Duluth, Minnesota where Páll ran a dairy farm. He moved back to Iceland in 1908 and lived in Reykjavík. Sigríður continued operating the dairy farm with the help of her sons.
